On Thursday, the 31st of May I was invited to participate in a panel discussing artificial intelligence and machine learning. The event, Geneva Information Security Day 2018, was organized by High Tech Bridge. If you don't already know High Tech Bridge, it's a Geneva - based security company which constantly gets awards and recognition for their AI technology. Just this week, High-Tech Bridge's ImmuniWeb was named the Winner in "Best usage of Machine Learning / AI" category at SC Awards Europe 2018.
In the machine learning and AI panel I had the opportunity to exchange opinions and experiences with esteemed colleagues - among which Victor Polic, CISO at International Labour Organization and Carlo Hopstaken, from the Group Information Security Office of UBS; under the coordination of Paul Wang, Regional Head of Fraud Investigation & Dispute Services for Swiss Romandie for EY.
I also enjoyed listening opinions -and probably some horror stories- about the world's first week with GDPR as well as extremely interested insights on how to enforce GRC strategy in the era of cloud and shadow IT; by the (ISC)2 Germany Chapter president Rainer Rehm and other experts, moderated by Troy Cunningham.
All in all the organization by the High Tech Bridge team was excellent and I cannot wait to visit the Geneva Information Security Day 2018, fall edition.
